As part of the Franschhoek Classic Music Festival, Bistro Bon Bon in La Petite Dauphine hosts a variety of diner and lunch concerts.
It starts on the Saturday with the Grand Soiree – Louise Howlett performing her Blues in the Night programme with pianist Albert Combrink and Charl Clayton on saxophone.
To conclude, the Bon Bon Finale sees three pianists, an incredible six hands at one piano, play music by Rachmaninoff, Ganz and Gershwin. Mark Nixon, Alex Gabriel with Christopher Duigan reunite for the first time in 25 years, while Junnan Sun (clarinet) plays beautiful moments from Duigan’s original compositions and folk music with Hungarian and ‘klezmer’ overtones.
A ticket to either event includes a three course meal.
